NEWSLETTER 7/2022

Dear Parents

A rather busy Term 3 has begun for Felixton College and we have certainly hit the ground running. There is a wonderfully vibrant atmosphere as the school gets stuck into the various activities that have been placed on the Term Planner.

A few flash cards for the beginning of Term 3:

Strategic Plan 2023 - 2030

We are in the throes of formalising our Strategic Plan for the next phase of development for Felixton College. To this end, we have begun the process of collecting data from all stakeholders. Grades 4 – 7 have completed their questionnaires and now the High School, parent body and staff will be asked to follow suit. Communication will follow shortly to explain the process.

Water

We are currently experiencing major difficulties with the water supply to the Felixton village. While we have set up a system to service the school as efficiently as possible, the supply of water is out of our hands. We continue to do all we can to obtain assistance from those in charge of water supply.

Felixton College family

  • We celebrate the announcement that Miss Tatum Bristow is now Mrs Tatum Petzer. Mrs Petzer married Ian during the June-July break and we wish them many happy years together.
  • Ms Michelle Eliot has been booked off school and we wish her well as she builds up the strength to return to school. All her academic commitments have been considered and the plan for her classes will be communicated directly to the pupils in her classes and their parents.
  • Condolences:
Sadly, Dr Thando Pupuma (parent and member of the Felixton College Council) and Mr Isaac Mzimela (member of staff) have passed away. On behalf of the entire Felixton College family, I offer heartfelt condolences to their respective families as we continue to pray for peace and strength for them … and our community at large.

I wish all members of the Felixton College an exciting, successful and safe passage through a bustling Term 3.

Kind Regards
Wayde Rademan
