Dear Parents
PTA
We enjoyed a wonderful Camp Out evening at Izingwe on Saturday last week. It was wonderful to see parents and children enjoying the company of their friends and acquaintances. The fires certainly added to the ambience and lots of fun was had by all who attended. Thank you very much to Mrs Tegan Diedericks and her team of PTA superheroes for the work that went into setting up the evening, and to the parents for supporting the initiative.
Proudly Primary Conference
Our Junior School teachers have ventured up to Pietermaritzburg for the biennial ISASA Proudly Primary Conference. The jovial crew set off at lunch time yesterday and will return on Saturday afternoon, having engaged with fellow educators across the Country, explored various exhibitor stands, been inspired by the respective guest speakers, and grappled with relevant information regarding the current Junior School educational landscape in South Africa.
Water
The water situation in Felixton, as mentioned in the previous Circular from my desk, appears to have been sorted out, for now. Our JoJo tanks are full and the municipal line has been restored. We continue to be mindful of just how fragile the supply of water to Felixton is, knowing full well just how crucial the basic service is in maintaining hygiene in the school, from Grade 12 all the way down to Grade RRRR.
Strategic Plan questionnaires
Here is the link to complete our questionnaire via Google Forms.
This link will also be placed on the d6 Communicator, and sent via SMS later today. Please complete the survey by next week, Friday 12 August 2022.
The aim is to direct thinking and discussion to formalise the Strategic Plan for Felixton College moving forward. To this end, please complete the concise questionnaire with a view to focussing on ‘what improves our school’ – both short term and long term. The questions have fields (options) that must be selected and an optional field for comments if applicable. The questionnaire, which can be completed on any device (phone, tablet, or laptop) will only take a few minutes to complete, but will assist in constructing a strategic pathway for the school that will make an impact for many years to come.
Kind Regards
Wayde Rademan
