Aiden Maitland finds himself on a hatrick ball in an impressive spell of bowling and Langa Masuku makes a responsible 21 not out as Felixton Primary 1st XI win their first encounter of the season by 9 wickets.
On the 3rd of February 2009 the under 13 boys' cricket team, made up mostly of Grade 6 players, played an at home game against Holy Childhood.
It was a rainy day in Felixton, but despite this we still played. We won the toss and sent them out to bat. We bowled them out for 74 after 16 overs. Our openers, Ruben Kok and Langa Masuku, were looking steady until Ruben retired injured on 7 runs. Adrian Krige then went in to bat and was bowled for 8 runs. Hassen Moorad came in at number 4 and made 6 runs. Our highest scorer was Langa Masuku with an impressive total of 19. The wicket takers were Aiden Maitland with a match-winning 4 wickets, Kheta Nxumalo and Tristan Blades each took 2 and David Barry took 1. It was a good start to the season.
