Kietzmann and Goss impress as Felixton First XI gets 2009 off to a cracking start!

Primary school cricket matches were unfortunately cancelled over the weekend because wet weather had made the fields unplayable.  However, our 1st XI and under 15A's had a successful outing to the South coast.

Calvin Reed continued his form from last year, scoring an impressive 44.  Ryan Smith, a very talented new Grade 8 leg-spinner, took 5 wickets on Saturday.  We look forward to great things from Ryan!  The U15's tied their T20 match on Friday, but lost on Saturday.

The 1st XI won both their matches comfortably.  Trevor Kietzmann is in great form with the bat, scoring 44 on Friday and 52 not out on Saturday.  Travis Goss took 4 for 18 in the main game on Saturday.  This bodes well for the 1st XI this season asTravis' bowling was sorely missed last year after he broke his arm in a motorbike accident.

Well done to all our cricketers and good luck for the rest of the season.
