COUNCIL REPORT BACK - DON'T MISS THIS MEETING !
All Felixton College parents are invited to attend a Council report back meeting to be held on Thursday 17 September 2009 at 19:00 in the College Hall.
The agenda will include a presentation of the financial state of the College, the proposed Fee Structure for 2010 and the short, medium and long term plans for the College.
This is a critical meeting in the history of the College and all parents are encouraged to make every effort to attend.

It's official! Felixton College learners have produced excellent results in the National Olympiads with Ignus van Zyl coming 3rd nationally in the English Olympiad, Marilise Geringer 11th nationally in the Afrikaans Eerste Addisionele Taal Olimpiade with Bianca van Staden and Ignus van Zyl sharing the 12th spot nationally and 7 of our learners earning the College 2nd spot in the top 50 in the second round of the prestigious national Maths Olympiad, beating all the long established Durban and Pietermaritzburg schools. These maths boffins are Kuveshan Padayachee, Gary Krige, Peter Faul, Mahommad Kajee, Jacob Bijumark, Tim Krige and Charmaine Drury. Well done to all these learners for flying the academic flag at Felixton College!
ROOTS GOLF DAY

GRADE 11 PARENTS – ‘ROAD TO MATRIC’
Parents of Grade 11 pupils (Grade 12, 2010) are asked to diarise a meeting to be held on Thursday 10 September at 18:30 in the College Hall. This is an important evening, when information and requirements for next year will be discussed. Please make every effort to attend.
MEDICINE DISTRIBUTION
Parents are advised that with immediate effect, scheduled medicines will not be dispensed from the College Reception if learners are unwell. This includes Paracetamol tablets and syrup. This is in the interest of the safety of your child. Whilst every effort will be made to make your child more comfortable if he/she is feeling unwell, no medicine will be administered unless you have sent medicine to the College, with specific instructions on dosage.

KICCSSA Athletics - Well done to our athletes who performed superbly at this annual event at Kings Park Athletics Track yesterday. We came 2nd out of the 4 schools and were so proud of the spirit and support displayed by our children. Thanks must also go to our contingent of parents who drove through to Durban to support your children.
Grade 10 learner, Clarissa Prinsloo (below), was awarded the Senior Victrix Ludorum Trophy and Mnqobi Ngubane JUST missed the Junior Victor Ludorum Trophy (although he won his age group).
