ISSUE 14/201 THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK: The father is the head of the house; The mother is the heart of the house.
Parents are informed that as of Monday 10 May, 2010, the Richards Bay bus route times will change. The pick up times will be as follows:
Post Office – Meerensee – 06:30 (previously 06:35)
Please ensure that your child is in time for the morning bus. Although the change is slight, we are hoping that it will make a difference to the arrival time at school, and allow the learners to be in time for the new attendance register procedure which will be introduced on Monday 10 May 2010.

Dear Parents, Boys and Girls
It was wonderful to see our young charges ‘giving it their all’ on the rugby field, the hockey field and the netball courts on Friday and Saturday last week. Not all games were won, but the games were contested in a fair and sporting manner, and each individual tried their very best. Well done, and thank you to all the coaches for giving up their time over the weekend.
We are now well and truly into our extra mural timetable. Netball, hockey and rugby are our major sports codes this term. Please note that we have a policy of maximum participation. Each pupil that attends practices will be given the opportunity to represent Felixton in a match/matches. Please use this opportunity to support your children as they ‘give it their all’ on the sports fields and netball courts.
Congratulations to RUBEN KOK and LAURA HUNT on their appointments as Head Boy and Head Girl of the Prep School for 2010.
And finally, on the lighter side of life, I have included a list of traits of girls and boys taken from Dr. James Dobsen’s book “Bringing up Boys”. Don’t you love the spontaneity and creativity of children. Here boys and girls come up with a list of characteristics pertaining to themselves and members of the opposite sex.
“GIRLS ARE MORE BETTER THAN BOYS”
• Girls chew with their mouths closed
• Boys can sit in front of a scary movie and not close their eyes once

HIGH SCHOOL NEWS Grantleigh Fixture this Saturday - please ensure that your child looks smart in his/her No. 1 Uniform if they are attending the Grantleigh/Felixton College fixture at Grantleigh on Saturday. We need as much support as we can muster and would really like parents to wear supporters' shirts (orders to be placed by Wednesday) or anything in Felixton colours. If you need to borrow or order a shirt, please contact Ann at Reception urgently. RESULTS OF PONGOLA FIXTURE
