THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK: Sandwich every bit of criticism between two thick layers
of praise - Mary Kay Ash
HEADMASTER PRAISES CRICKETERS
Mr Krige praised the cricketers who represented the College at cricket against Grantleigh last week. Not only did we win 7 out of 9 A-side matches (see the results below), our learners displayed wonderful sportmanship, spirit and manners on and off the field. Thank you to our parents who ensured that their children were properly kitted out and were good advertisements for our school.
Felixton College is fast establishing itself as one of, if not THE, cricketing school in Zululand.
TOUCH RUGBY TOURNAMENT
It's the start of the rugby season, with the 6 Nations kicking off and the Super 14 soon to follow. With this exciting flow of rugby in mind, we have decided to host our own TOUCH RUGBY TOURNAMENT on Friday 19 February at the Dickson Oval. The proceeds of this tournament will go towards the High School netball, hockey and rugby teams who will be travelling to Treverton for a week of sport in April.
This epic clash needs your support! Delicious food will be on sale and you can be a part of the Fun Felixton Vibe.
Each team needs: a name, a captain, 10 players (including 1 Grade 8, 1 Grade 9 and at least 1 adult), a t-shirt colour and a fee of R10.00 per player to enter. Junior School teams are most welcome to enter
Each game will last 10 minutes and there is a good chance that the winners may face the Colossal Felixton College Staff Team as well.
Entry forms are available from the Sports Office and can be handed in (together with your money) to the Marketing Department before Tuesday 16 March.
